The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook Presents - 10 Summertime Treats ReviewMy 21 year old and 17 year old daughters made a recipe from the larger volume The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook. It was the Chocolate Ganache Cake. What a flop! The recipe (and I'm asuming many of the recipes) were poorly edited. Did anyone actually make the food in the cookbook? If you had, you'd realize that a 9" cake pan does not suffice for all the batter in the recipe. What a Mega-disaster with cake batter overflowing. At first I thought my girls had made the mistake, but then I read the recipe through three times. Nope, the recipe calls for one 9" pan.
Cookbooks are nice, cookbooks where the recipes have been tested and recipes edited are even better.
