Jack Hunter - Secret of the King ReviewI bought this book for my nine year old son. He's an avid reader, into Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and a lot of the classics like Treasure Island. The book is a great adventure story, on the lines of Indiana Jones but geared at kids.
The plot revolves around a boy called Jack, who has moved to new home and makes friends with a group of four children. Jack's grandfather tells him a story of buried treasure, which he discovered and lost as a young boy - the mystery of King Richard and the Four Corners. Jack and his new friends embark on a quest to solve the mystery and find the treasure. There is an adult (can't say who without posting a spoiler) who is trying to beat the group to the treasure, and the children work to uncover the clues, always trying to stay one step ahead of them.
The book contains interactive clues which link to a website, allowing children to uncover their own mystery.
My son thoroughly enjoyed this book and I would highly recommend it to other readers.
