Overall a good read!The Rune Walker (Original title: The Living Stone) (Hades planet of death) OverviewDriven from earth, a group of cult who believe in magic settle upon a Hades, a desert planet where the only moisture must be taken from other living beings. Here in a crater protected by their divine object, the living stone, the settles survive for eons. But the coming of prospectors and space pirated to Hades have disastrous consequences for descendants of the settlers when their village is destroyed. Only Andria, who is off seeking the most feared creature on Hades, a valcan, in order to become a shaman, is spared. This is his story as he seeks revenge on those that annihilated his people and stole the living stone. But his quest of revenge takes many unexpected turns on a world where each step is a step into danger. He finds he must grow up fast and somehow become a full fledged shaman if he is to survive.
