I wanted to know what it would have been like to grow up in Catholic home for boys. The book did not disappoint. Not only was I able to get a glimpse inside at the grand traditions, but the daily minutia was fascinating as well. Furthermore, "The Ghost in the Attic" transported me to a different time, when the pace of life moved at a slower pace. It also introduced me to Charlie and his friends, who have a great time with each other, but also seem to share a longing for a more permanent home and family.
