Nancy Spellman & The Forest of Doom (Nancey Spellman) ReviewI got this for my Daughter whos 9, but ended up reading it myself as well and I was pleasantly suprised, I do believe it is aimed at the teens market so it could be missing out on a wider audiance as it is a very good read for adults too.
The book I found it had an exciting and interesting story plot with a good twist about the world they are on.
The story comes alive very quickly as the credible adventures begin and kept me engaged right until the end although it was difficult using the word 'Hooth for a planet when discussing it later!
All in all I think its a good read from 8 to 80 years old and I can imagine a whole series of these books, infact I hope that is upcoming as both My daughter and I are eagerly awaiting the next ones.

Nancy Spellman & The Forest of Doom (Nancey Spellman) OverviewNancy was twelve years old and very popular at school and at home. She was captain of her hockey team, and really quite tall for her age. She had long thick brown hair, usually tied in a ponytail during the day. Her best friend was Mary who unlike Nancy is the academic type and both are whisked off to a strange and magical planet called Hooth in a paralell universe. Before they can catch their breath they are thrust into desperate and dangerous adventures to find three Earth children brought there by mistake by a bumbling but well meaning wizard called Albert and help save the planet Hooth from evil invaders and wicked creatures enslaving the population.
